Chapter 725: Preparing For Battle.

He didn’t look at her specifically when he said those threatening words. This was because he didn’t say them just for her to hear. He said what he said for all of them to hear.

When they heard his words, any doubts that they had about Money Body’s competence were thrown out. Now they were sure he wasn’t an ignorant fool.

They could say confidently that their leader was an untrustworthy liar, but this was the worst option. After all, it meant that Money Body had planned all of this and was ready to kill them if they ruined his plan.

In response to this threat, Nether Flame gritted his teeth in frustration. But he didn’t dare to show any sign of frustration on his face.

He hoped to survive this mission, but he also knew that the goal of surviving this mission wasn’t the end of all things. He knew that there was still the goal of surviving after the mission. In order to achieve this second goal, he believed that it was a good idea not to show his dissatisfaction at being tricked, and it was best not to offend Money Body in any way.

Blood Sword also made this decision. She became eerily calm. But a glint of sharpness could be seen in her eyes.

Only Loki was truly calm. He even had the leisure to yawn and say, "Enough talking. This is not a marketplace. It is a battlefield."

His words made everyone turn to him in surprise. They were surprised to hear the weakest one among them be so confident and looking forward to the battle.

Neither Flame nor Blood Sword thought that he was the weakest, but Money Body didn’t think he was weak at all. After all, he knew that Loki was part of an alliance. There was also the suspicion that Loki could control the four Divine Positions, as absurd as it may be.

So Money Body believed that Loki should have the confidence to defeat and kill rank 6 dragons. The reason he was surprised was that Loki was so enthusiastic because he expected the greatest resistance from Loki for deceiving them.

But Loki appeared not to care at all about his deceit. This caught him off guard a little bit. But he quickly regained his composure and prepared for battle.

Money Body activated his four Divine Positions and combined them for great power. Nether Flame did the same with his three Divine Positions. Blood Sword also went along with the preparation for battle.

Loki also began to prepare for battle. But the first thing he did wasn’t to activate his Divine Metacs. The first thing he did was to activate the Siphon Ability on the heart of the world.

He had marked a world guardian earlier in the day with the Tracking Ability. When that world guardian had died, the world had tried to retrieve the Power Core of the world guardian.

He was more powerful than the world, so he could have stopped the world from taking the Power Core. But he allowed the world to have its way so that he could mark the heart of the world.

He had done this same thing during his first mission. But he hadn’t activated the Siphon Ability because it wouldn’t have made much of a difference.

The draining of the Siphon Ability is only 6 years of lifespan per second. Compared to the level of enemies he had to face in the first mission, this amount of lifespan was only a drop in the ocean of lifespan that he needed to stay alive every second.

The only thing that the Siphon Ability would have done was to make the will of Oceania very angry and send all of its dragons after them to kill them. He couldn’t handle such a risk back then.

But things are different this time around. Not only can he handle the risk of the dragons going all out to kill all the invaders right now, but the dragons are already going all out to kill all the invaders right now, so an extra reason for the will of Oceania to kill the invaders won’t make any difference.

Another reason he activated the Siphon Ability is that it will weaken the heart of the world and weaken the resistance of the will of Oceania against the outpost core. So by activating the Siphon Ability, he can speed up the growth of the outpost core while supplying him with 6 years of lifespan every second.

These two things are all good things that will ensure that the mission will be successfully completed. But the main obstacle in their way is still the dragons. So after activating the Siphon Ability, he also activated his Divine Positions.

He didn’t hold back at all with his Divine Positions. He activated all four of them. What he held back with were his other Divine Metacs.

He only activated the four Divine Metacs needed to activate the four Divine Positions. So the Divine Positions activated were the Gold Body Metac, Money Construct Metac, Life’s Worth Metac, and the Wealth Status Metac. The remaining 48 were put on hold for now.

His goal is to focus on the rank 6 and rank 7 dragons, not the dragon king. He plans to leave the dragon king to Money Body while he focuses on killing the other dragons. This way, he won’t have to show too much of his power and complete the mission without stress.

For now, all that his mission partners could tell was that he activated all four Divine Positions. They couldn’t tell if he was truly capable of combining the four of them, and they had no inkling whatsoever that there were still 48 Divine Metacs left in reserve.

After activating his four Divine Metacs, the next thing he did was to mark some dragons so that he could drain their lifespan. Then he activated the Power Identification Ability on them to see what they were capable of.
